SHORT COMMENTS.

Before Starting :

In this chapter of Brunierbrunojulier, I display numerous illustrations like for example the one above. For seeing them you can simply click on the buttons on the left of the page. For seeing a bigger version you will have to click on the illustration.

How To Start Those Illustrations :

Most of the time I started these illustrations with a simple sketch on paper made quite fast, it took some minutes usually, no matter if the anatomy is sometimes somehow distorted, the most important is the movement and life...

And Then, What Is Happening ?

The longer part of the work was after. I then scanned the sketch and opened it in Illustrator. I started with an inking on a first layer above the sketch, using brushes. Then finally it was the moment to add the colors. Again with a system of successive layers, dozens of layers, using the tool plume most of the time, I gradually colored the illustrations. Well, it didn't take that much time and the illustration was completed, one more to add to the others!
